Since the question comes up: a generic contains the same active compound in the same amount and the same form as the originally branded product.
It has to deliver a comparable level in the body to be approved at all. The difference sits in the name, the appearance and the price — the price gap existing because the original development costs were paid long ago.

Dead parasites release material that provokes an inflammatory response: fever, aches, headache, nausea, sometimes itching or a rash.
It reflects the treatment working, not the drug harming you, and it usually settles within a day or two. The heavier the infection, the more noticable it tends to be.
Certain parasites can lodge in the brain or spinal cord. Killing them there sets off inflammation in a space that cannot expand.
That can produce seizures or dangerously raised pressure. So any history of unexplained seizures, persistent severe headache or new neurological symptoms needs investigating before treatment is started.

Red flags worth acting on: blood in the urine, persistent abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, long-running fever, or a cough that will not resolve after time spent abroad.
Severe headache, seizures, confusion or visual disturbance need urgent attention.
Treatment is short and usually planned around a known schedule, so having the full course ready matters more than quantity.
